Had our breakfast (mmm... kueh lapis. YUMZ!!), and went for blood test.
Then headed to downtown to get his newly printed business cards, and off to Richmond for lunch (Saboten). Waited for almost 45 mins for our meals - mind you, it's IN the food court. There were just SO many people queuing to buy from this store in the food court. GOSH....
The thing is, it's NOT even that good. The pork cutlet was pleasant, but bloody small pieces! We received 2 pieces each, and the 2 pieces combined were just about the size of my palm. Yes, they were THAT small. Oh, and the Japanese curry was watery too. The man drive all the way there coz he wanted to try their curry pork cutlet, and we were kindda let down by the slowness, price and quality.
I personally think it's just a "hype" thing going on, and the prices were pretty expensive for food court standard. Oh, I think this Saboten is also in Hong Kong & Singapore.
The best Japanese pork cutlet we have ever had (Canada & Singapore), was this CHAYA restaurant in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Very tiny, super not obvious but GOOD food. When we were still in Calgary, we used to drive once a month for 1 hour just to go there for a nice relaxing meal and to enjoy the Rockies.
Ah... Makes me wanna go to Banff again.
